the Thirst collection
The plays were originally written to be able to be performed at Joe's Garage - an informal Minneapolis restaurant/watering hole - among the other patrons gathered to sit and eat and drink and watch a little live theater.
As a result, the plays can be performed with very little in the way of "production values"
LONESOME, WILD & BLUE needs a table, two chairs; something to indicate that Glenn is a waiter; an overcoat, and white doctor's lab coat for Robin, as well as either a clipboard or medical file.
INVISIBLE needs a table, a chair, and something (costume or prop-wise) to make it clear that Kip and Roz are wait staff at the restaurant where Scotty has come to eat.
DENTS is the same basic setup as INVISIBLE
TEMPLATE also needs a table and chair, a sock puppet, and something (costume or prop-wise) to indicate that Jordan is pretending to take on the role of a waiter.
HEAD ABOVE WATER (versions 1 and 2) needs two tables, three chairs, two menus, two glasses of water, a pitcher of water, and something (costume or prop-wise) to indicate that Jordan is a waiter.
