A first draft of the previous version of “Leave,” under the title “The Surface of the World,” was given a public reading and critique at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as part of the Roundtable weekly new play reading series on Thursday, April 10, 1997.
The cast was as follows:
